The Mermaid Lady

Last year, I was reading about symbols that people use all over the world and how they were formed in different times and throughout different cultures. Some oceanic and wave symbols caught my attention and out of that came this unkempt, half made-up mermaid!

I didn't intend for this character design to have a very detailed background, but I'm glad that I pursued a design with multiple planes instead of just leaving it flat.
