My entry for the 2022 Atomhawk Art Competition, Forgotten Creation.
With this "Forgotten Creation" piece I wanted to challenge myself to delve more into the sci-fi genre with an android by focusing on the shape language of the mechanical body parts. It was definitely a challenge to make the whole piece feel more forgotten rather than "alive", through the mood and lighting!

"It was damp. Wires draped from the ceiling, sweeping across the room in menacing arcs, while the rotting floor boards creaked under the weight of every step. An eerie mist sat low in the room, as if the room itself was holding its breath. The wires all seemed to be leading towards something, as if ready to breathe life into something—or someone—that never had the chance to awaken. It had to have been from long ago, right? This place had been abandoned for centuries, if my interpretation of the notes were correct. They said there was something there, and by the stars, I found it. The only thing I can't figure out is what it was, or what it is. A machine or tool of some sort, or perhaps something far more sinister. Perhaps then it's best left as a mystery... a forgotten creation."
